Welcome to Car Owners Club. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Car Owners Club app and services, operated by PearlBrains Limited ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Car Owners Club. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Membership & Subscription

• Access to the app requires an active paid membership.
• Membership fees are payable through our payment provider (Pesapal), supporting mobile money and card payments where available.
• Membership grants you access to community features for the applicable subscription period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We reserve the right to change membership pricing with reasonable notice.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must not share your account or allow others to use it.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Community Conduct

To keep Car Owners Club a positive community, you agree NOT to:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or hateful.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or information.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Use the app for spam, scams, or any illegal activity.
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, listings, posts, comments).
• By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that content within the app to operate the service.
• You are solely responsible for the content you post and any consequences of sharing it.

6. Marketplace (Buying, Selling & Renting)

• Car Owners Club provides a platform for members to list cars for sale or rent. We are not a party to any transaction between members.
• We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee any listing, vehicle, price, or member.
• You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence before entering into any transaction. Meet safely and verify details independently.
• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from member-to-member transactions.

7. Events

Events listed in the app are organised by members or third parties. We are not responsible for the conduct, safety, or outcome of any event. Attend at your own risk.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PearlBrains Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app or any member interactions or transactions.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if you violate these Terms or for any conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the community. You may stop using the app and request account deletion at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
